Back of baby Amboora by orange trees

We are finally here!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for visiting — and welcome to Amboora’s little corner of the internet.

It’s been quite a journey since I first hit ‘publish’ on this blog. What started as a dream — to bring authentic Moroccan flavours into British homes — has grown into something I’m genuinely proud of. Amboora now has a full range of Moroccan spice blends and sauces, a 2-star Great Taste Award for our Signature Ras El Hanout (awarded in 2021), and a wonderful community of food lovers who cook with our products every week.

But I want to share how it all began, because I think the origin matters.

The idea for Amboora came about when my daughter Amber started weaning. I found myself cooking more and more Moroccan dishes to introduce Moroccan culture to her at an early age — the warmth of Ras El Hanout, the comfort of a slow-cooked tagine, the ritual of mint tea. Then a lightbulb moment: ping. Why not turn this passion into a business? I named it Amboora after her — the Arabic nickname for Amber — because she made me realise that what we love most is worth sharing with the world.

As with a lot of food businesses, the road here had its ups and downs. There were long nights and a fair few tears. But the most important thing was having the right people around me — family, friends, and eventually a community of Amboora fans who kept me going. Remember: success is always better shared.

Today, Amboora is here — really here — and I couldn’t be more grateful. Whether you’re a long-time fan or you’ve just discovered us, I hope our spices bring a little piece of Morocco into your kitchen.

You can find us on Instagram and Facebook, or join our mailing list by subscribing below. And if you ever want to know more about the story behind Amboora, head over to the Meet Nadia page.

Love,
Nadia x
