Moroccan Chermoula Steamed Mussels

Steamed Mussels

1 onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 jar Amboora Chermoula Tagine Sauce

800g mussels, cleaned

Fresh parsley

Crusty bread, to serve


  1. In a pan over a low / medium heat, fry the onion in some olive oil until softened. Add the garlic and fry for a few more minutes.
  2. Add the chermoula sauce, season to taste and simmer for 5 mins.
  3. Add the mussels, cover with a lid and steam for around 4-5 mins until the shells have opened. Make sure you discard any that haven’t opened as these might not be safe to eat.
  4. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and dip some crusty bread into the delicious sauce.
